Backpack Initiative & Pantry
The North Hills Backpack Initiative and Pantry provide essential support to students and families facing food insecurity. NHSD elementary students enrolled in the Backpack Initiative receive a discreet weekly bag of food delivered to their school locker, while middle and high school students can access food, hygiene products, and personal care items through their school’s Pantry. Both programs are designed to ensure students have access to nutritious food and necessities while maintaining privacy, and they rely on community donations to sustain their impact. Learn more.
