Summer Learning

Camp Kindergarten is a free, three-week program designed to help selected students prepare for a successful start to kindergarten. Invitations are extended to rising kindergarteners who may benefit from additional support based on factors such as prior early learning experiences, language development, and transition readiness.

Led by North Hills School District kindergarten teachers and offered at all four elementary schools, the program provides engaging, hands-on activities that help students build confidence, develop foundational skills, and become comfortable with school routines. Registration is required for participation.

Rising Grade K

• Dates: Tuesday - Thursday, July 14 - July 30, 2026
• Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Location: All Elementary Schools
• Registration: Sent via email

Invitations are sent to students who, based on performance data, would benefit from additional instruction before progressing to the next grade level. There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

Grades K-5

• Dates: Monday - Thursday, July 6 - July 30, 2026
• Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Location: Highcliff Elementary School
• Registration: Sent via email/Class Dojo

Credit recovery courses are for students in grades 6-12 who failed one or more of their core courses (English, Math, Science or Social Studies) during the school year.

• Dates: June 10 - July 22, 2026
• Instructional Model: Students complete course work asynchronously
• Cost: $200
• Registration: May 18 - June 4, 2026

Students in grades 9-12 may take Health and Physical Education for transcript credit in the summer. This is often done to make room in a student’s schedule for the upcoming school year.
