Title I/Reading and Math
Programs
North Hills School District has reading support and math reinforcement programs in all four elementary schools. The programs look the same for all grades in all schools and are funded by either the district or Title I monies from the state. Highcliff and West View are the two North Hills elementary schools eligible for Title I funding based on the number of student who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
The district also contracts with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit to provide reading and math support services at Holy Cross Academy for eligible students who live in the North Hills School District.

2025-26 Funding Allocation
Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs: $513,910.00
- $501,796.00 funds a portion of salaries/benefits for Title I reading specialists/math interventionists at designated Title I schools as well as assistance to homeless students & parent/family engagement
- $12,114.00 provides AIU services to participating non-public schools
Title II, Part A – Improving Teacher Quality: $94,537.00
Title II, Part A funds a portion of salaries/benefits for qualifying Class Size Reduction Initiative teaching positions and required professional development for non-public schools
Title IV, Part A – Student Support $38,749.00
Title IV, Part A funds are transferred to Title II for additional funding of salaries/benefits for qualifying Class Size Reduction Initiative teaching positions
