Kindergarten
Welcome to the North Hills School District!
Kindergarten in the North Hills School District is a full day program. Students attend one of four district elementary schools. Students must be five years old prior to August 1 to enter kindergarten that school year.
Registration
Kindergarten registration opens each February 1 and the process begins online.
Kindergarten Forum
Held each January, the Kindergarten Forum includes a panel of kindergarten teachers, specialists, and administrators who discuss kindergarten readiness, the readiness assessment, curriculum, and a typical kindergarten day in the North Hills School District. The presentation also includes a question and answer session.

Is your child ready for kindergarten?
All incoming kindergartners take a BRIGANCE readiness assessment. The assessment looks at each child's physical, language, cognitive and social-emotional development as well as self-help skills and determines the child’s school readiness. Results will be shared with the child's parents before the start of the school year.
