Students are encouraged to fully seek out scholarship and award/recognition opportunities via internet search engines, popular scholarship search sites and apps, post-secondary schools and institutions, employers, businesses and companies, organizations and activities, and through personal networking.
With the abundance of information available online and/or directly communicated to students electronically or via social media, the school counseling office of today no longer serves as the primary “clearinghouse” for the marketing and distribution of such information.
