About Project Connect

Project Connect is the North Hills School District’s 1:1 iPad initiative, putting iPads in the hands of our students.

The program has grown every year since its inception in 2016, and for the 2019-20 school year, iPads will be given to all students in grades 5-11.

Information letters were mailed to families of fifth- through eleven-graders the first week of August.

2019-20 Information

Before iPads are issued to students, the student and his/her parent/guardian must review and sign the following documents in the Student/Parent iPad User Handbook:

  1. Student iPad Loan Agreement
  2. Student/Parent Responsible Use Agreement
  3. Network Acceptable Use Policy
  4. Procedure on Tracking Mobile Devices
  5. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) -- If student is under age 13

Parents/guardians must also enroll the student device online with One2One Risk Solutions and choose to either accept or decline iPad insurance. Repair and replacement costs noted in this handbook should also be reviewed.

The documents above can be signed electronically here.

Distribution

For Grades 5-6, iPads were distributed at meetings on August 21 and 22. Fifth and sixth grade families who missed the meeting must watch the video below and follow the instructions on the form here prior to obtaining their student's iPad.

iPads were distributed to seventh- through eleventh-graders in social studies classes the first few weeks of school.
