Every Friday, a weekly newsletter including important schoolwide information specifically for families of students at McIntyre Elementary is sent via email. The email contains schoolwide information about upcoming events, Parent Teacher Staff Organization (PTSO) news and important reminders for students and families.
How does North Hills School District inform me of important district information?
North Hills School District sends an email including districtwide information every Friday. Emails are also sent as needed for school delays/cancelations and other important information.
How do I subscribe to receive the weekly emails?
To subscribe to receive the McIntyre news and the North Hills School District news in your email inbox each Friday, select “Quick Links” on the upper right corner of the district webpage at www.nhsd.net. Select “Join E-Link” from the list. You also can click here to subscribe!
Email addresses can be easily updated by resubscribing or clicking update email address/preferences at the bottom of any E-link message. Anyone who may need school information for your child is welcome to subscribe to receive these important weekly emails. There is no limit per family.
What will appear in my email inbox after I subscribe?
Every Friday, an email from North Hills School District will be sent to the inbox of subscribers. The subject lines will indicate News from McIntyre Elementary or News from North Hills School District, depending on the service a user has subscribed to receive.
Are paper communications sent home from school with my child?
In an effort to communicate quickly and efficiently, emails are the main sources of communication from school to home. Paper information with school and district information is rarely sent home. Newsletters and emails from classroom teachers may not contain schoolwide information, PTSO updates and district news. Therefore, families are encouraged to subscribe to receive emails from both McIntyre Elementary and North Hills School District.
Families who do not have access to email should contact the school office by note or phone at 412-318-1622 to have a paper copy sent home with their child.
