Informational Programs for Parents

North Hills School District works with a variety of local and national organizations to provide information on various safety and security topics for our families. Throughout the school year, we hold parent informational events. These events are shared via the district's many communication outlets. The district invites all members of the North Hills community to participate as we work together to create a safe and welcoming environment for all our students and staff members.

Be Smart

The Be SMART campaign promotes responsible gun storage and asks all adults to take simple steps to reduce the harm that can can occur when unsupervised children gain access to an unsecured firearm. The campaign urges five easy steps:

Secure guns in homes and vehicles
Model responsible behavior around guns
Ask about unsecured guns in other homes
Recognize the risks of teen suicide
Tell your peers to be SMART
