The North Hills Community Service Award was established in 2021 to honor individuals in the community making significant contributions to the North Hills School District through their time, talents and dedication striving to make the community a better place.

Nomination Process

Nominations for the annual North Hills Community Service Award come from members of the NHSD Board of Education. Board members are asked to nominate individuals by April 1 each year and then vote. A winner is recognized at a board meeting each June.

Nominees must reside in the North Hills School District and their community service must be outside any volunteer work done for their employer. The honoree should also serve as a role model for compassion and service.

Previously, nominations were accepted from the public but since this is an award established and presented by the school board, nominations come from the members of the board.
