Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA)

North Hills School District utilizes several applications and web-based programs for instructional and educational purposes. In order for students to use these programs, student user accounts must often be created. These accounts may contain information such as the student’s name, network username or password, or student's email address.

In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA), the North Hills School District requires parental consent to create such accounts if the student is under the age of 13.

Prior to each school year, parents/guardians will be asked to acknowledge and consent to this practice.

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule can be viewed in its entirety here.

Questions can be directed to your student's principal.
