Fall Collage Concert with High School Ensembles
The high school music department will hold its first concert of the school year featuring instrumental and choral ensembles on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in the North Hills Middle School auditorium. The collage concert provides an opportunity for high school ensembles to collaborate on joint performances of pieces: the chamber strings and women’s choir, symphonic choir and wind symphony, and combined choirs with the wind ensemble. Audience members can expect not only traditional instrumental and choral works to be performed such as marches and a cappella spirituals, but also lighter and familiar selections including music by the Beatles and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Rounding out the performance will be a set by the Allegheny Brass Band, who regularly collaborates with the high school band program, providing a music scholarship each year to a North Hills student.
