57th North Hills Marching Band Festival Features Allegheny Valley Marching Band Festival on Sept. 16

The 57th annual North Hills Marching Band Festival will serve double-duty as it also presents the 33rd annual Allegheny Valley Marching Band Festival this year. The festival will be held on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at Martorelli Stadium.

A total of seven local high school marching bands are scheduled to perform. In addition to our own North Hills Marching Band, bands from Hampton Township, North Allegheny, Northgate, Pine-Richland, Riverview and Shaler Area will perform.

North Hills’ shows this year include their Pre-Game Show and their March Show with selections around the themes of Disney, Broadway and Divas Through the Decades. Admission to the event is $8. Children age 5 and under receive free admission. Refreshments and other items will be available for purchase. Free parking is available at the Park & Ride lot located just north of the Perrysville Avenue exit of I-279.

The festival is sponsored by the North Hills Instrumental Parents’ Association. In the event of rain, the event will be relocated to the North Hills Middle School gymnasium at 55 Rochester Road in Ross Township.
