Elementary Schools

Starting on August 14, parents of students in Grades 1 to 6 will be able to log on to PowerSchool (on the PowerSchool page under the Parents tab on the district website or nhsd.powerschool.com) and find out their student's homeroom teacher for the 2018-19 school year. As soon as you log on, the first screen you will see will include the name of your student's homeroom teacher.

Kindergarten parents will receive homeroom information during parent orientation on August 16.

Secondary Schools

Starting on August 14, PowerSchool will be available for secondary students to access their schedules (on the PowerSchool page under the Parents tab on the district website or nhsd.powerschool.com). A back to school mailing was sent on August 3 to high school parents and will be sent on August 10 to middle school parents.

New to NHSD?

If your elementary student is new to NHSD, a letter will be mailed to your home address the week of August 13 with your Access ID and Access Password.

If your secondary student is new to NHSD, information related to your PowerSchool Access ID and Access Password was provided to you during your registration or guidance counselor appointment. If you are transferring to North Hills High School from one of the area private schools and did not have a guidance counselor appointment, please see the "Don't Have a PowerSchool Account Set Up" section below.

Forgot Your PowerSchool Account Info?

If you have forgotten your username and/or password, there is a "Forgot Username or Password?" link on the PowerSchool sign-in page. Please disregard the wording on the PowerSchool page about contacting your student's school for account information! Email [email protected] for the quickest response.

Don't Have a PowerSchool Account Set Up?

If you never created an account last school year and your student is not new to NHSD (exception: secondary private school transfers), please email [email protected] to obtain your Access ID and Access Password. We request that you do not contact building offices to obtain this information. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to answer your requests via email as quickly as possible.

Once you receive your Access ID and Access Password, you will be able to create an account in PowerSchool and find out elementary homeroom or secondary schedule information for the school year.

PowerSchool Mobile App

With the app, parents are able to receive instant push notifications on their mobile devices for attendance or grade changes. Download the free PowerSchool app by visiting your device's app store and searching for "PowerSchool Mobile." Our district app code is ZMSH. Please note, the PowerSchool Mobile app is completely separate from and not related to the NHSD app which is used for informational district communications. The PowerSchool Mobile app does not replace the NHSD app. We recommend installing both apps on your mobile device to stay up-to-date on the many aspects of your student's NHSD education. Click here to download the NHSD app
