Various North Hills sports teams and athletes are among the best of the best in WPIAL and PIAA. Numerous teams have qualified for playoffs this fall.
- The varsity football team advanced to the WPIAL 5A playoffs before falling to West Allegheny High School on Nov. 4.
- Cross country runners competed at the PIAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 5 in Hershey following winning performances at the WPIAL Championships. Senior Ava Pietrzyk grabbed eighth place and sophomore Joey Buehner placed 26th place to advance to the state meet. Ava came in 21st at the state meet!
- The varsity girls soccer team qualified for the WPIAL playoffs for the first time in program history before being topped by Fox Chapel High School in first round action. Taylor Burkley and Elaina Longjohn were named to First Team All-Section, Marisa Zupen and Danielle McNally were chosen for Second Team All-Section and Jordan Trama and Allison Traynor received Honorable Mentions.
- The varsity boys soccer team advanced to the WPIAL playoffs for the third, consecutive year before falling to Pittsburgh Allerdice High School in the first round on Oct. 22.
