McIntyre Elementary School staff came together to walk in this year’s Light the Night Walk at Heinz Field in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for a cause that is close to their hearts. Earlier this year, the child of a McIntyre Elementary staff member was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and has successfully undergone treatment for the cancer over the past few months. [...click for more]

North Hills School District 2018-19 calendar was approved by the North Hills Board of Education on Oct. 12. In the 2018-19 calendar, the first day of school for students will be Tuesday, August 21, and the final half-day of school will be Thursday, May 31. North Hills High School Marching Band will perform its 42nd annual Marching Band Stadium Review at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the North Hills Middle School auditorium. The stadium review features the pregame and halftime music from the 2017 football season performed in an indoor concert setting. Attendees are asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy or book to benefit the Allegheny County Labor Council’s Labor of Love toy drive. [...click for more]
