At least seven area bands will perform at the 48th Annual North Hills Marching Band Festival. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Martorelli Stadium, located along Route 19 in West View.

In addition to North Hills, marching bands from Northgate, Sto-Rox, Carrick, Chartiers-Houston, Upper Saint Clair, Keystone Oaks, Chartiers Valley, Penn Hills and Beaver Falls school districts will perform.

Admission to the event is $5. Children ages 5 and under receive free admission. Refreshments and other items will be available for purchase.

Free parking is available at the Park & Ride lot, located just north of the Perrysville Avenue exit of I-279.

The marching band festival is sponsored by the North Hills Instrumental Parent’s Association. A rain date is scheduled for Sept. 27, 2008.
