The Food Service Department of North Hills School District makes serving each child our top priority.  The following information may be helpful in understanding our menus.  For both the breakfast and lunch programs we use the “Traditional” meal patterns as mandated by State and Federal Guidelines.  This program uses meal “components” which are listed below.

Morning Child Care Program:  Morning child care is available at all seven elementary schools and is supervised by District Food Service personnel.  It is located in the cafeteria of each building.  The hours of operation are 7:30 am to 8:40 am. The program operates each day that school is in session.  In case of a school delay, there is NO child care that morning.   For an additional fee of $1.25, your child may enjoy breakfast while attending morning care.

Breakfast & Lunch Program:  A breakfast and a lunch program are provided at all schools.  The meals provide students with a nutritious breakfast and lunch that meets the recommended dietary guidelines.

Consisting of 2 servings of bread OR 2 servings of protein OR 1 serving of bread  AND 1 serving of protein

·         Reduced-fat Donut
