Each October, North Hills students in grades 10 and 11 have the opportunity to take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The PSAT/NMSQT measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills and writing skills, and is a great tool for students considering college. North Hills High School offers the PSAT/NMSQT to allow students to receive feedback about strengths and weaknesses, enter the competition for National Merit Scholar scholarships (Grade 11) and to help prepare for the SAT. Complete information can be found on the College Board's website.
