North Hills School District operates a full-day kindergarten program in each of its four elementary schools - Highcliff, McIntyre, Ross and West View.
Please note that per School Board Policy 205, children who are not registered to attend school by June 1 may be assigned to a district school building outside of their attendance area.
How and When to Register
Kindergarten registration appointments for the 2017-18 school year can be scheduled for any weekday. Call your student's school to make an appointment!
Appointments for kindergarten registration are strongly recommended.
Kindergarten registration packets are available from any of the district’s elementary schools or in the lobby of the district’s administration center. Packets also may be downloaded from the district’s website at the top of this page.
The packets provide necessary forms as well as information regarding required documents – such as proofs of residency and health immunizations – for kindergarten entrance. All incoming kindergarten families must bring a completed registration packet and necessary documentation outlined in the packet for their registration appointment.
Students registering for kindergarten must be five years of age before Sept. 1, 2017, to be enrolled for the 2017-18 school year. Registration is limited to residents of the North Hills School District, which includes Ross Township and West View Borough.
West View and Highcliff Elementary students will attend classes from 8:30 to 3 p.m. daily, and McIntyre and Ross Elementary students will attend classes from 9:15 to 3:45 p.m. daily.
