The North Hills High School Wind Ensemble will travel to New York City later this week to perform in the
Harmonic Convergence Concert at the prestigious Carnegie Hall.
The concert will be held Friday, April 26 at 6 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage and feature selected ensembles from across the country. The Wind Ensemble was selected to perform as the featured band.
A highlight of the performance will be the world premiere performance of James David’s Fallingwater at Twilight. The 59th consecutive contribution to the historic North Hills Bands Commission Series. The group will also perform works by Berlioz, Copland and Maslanka.
A
concert previewing the North Hills High School Wind Ensemble’s performance will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in the North Hills Middle School auditorium. There is no cost to attend.
Wind Ensemble is a curricular course at the high school led by Len Lavelle and Lucas Beaver.
